A Note from Kelley

The leaves are turning shades of red, orange & yellow. The crisp air quickens our steps. Christmas music is beginning to sound forth as Handbell choirs rehearse music for the approaching Advent Season. All this means that the Central Alabama Handbell Festival 2019 is just around the corner. Mark your calendar for March 2 & 3, 2019. Pleasant Hill UMC in McCalla, AL is our host. To register just download the Registration Form from the website, fill it out and follow the instructions at the bottom of the Registration Form.

The Clinician for CAHF 2018 is Jason Krug. You can check out his bio in the Clinician section of this website. We are delighted to have Jason directing us this year. The music selections are posted in the Music Selections section of the website. If you have not already ordered your copies, now is a good time to check in with your favorite music supplier.

A new feature this year is “Light of the World” by Jason Krug. This piece uses three separate parts—Handbell Choir I, Handchimes, and Handbell Choir II. Each participating Handbell choir selects the which of the three parts to prepare. Once at the CAHF 2018, all three parts will come together under Jason’s direction. We hope you enjoy getting your part ready for March.

CAHF 2018 is the 31st Festival. Come make new friends, catch up with old friendships and have a delightful time making music with lots of folks who love to ring Handbells!

See you March 2 & 3, 2018!

Happy Ringing,

Kelley
